Douglas: For Douglas, music is more than just a passion—it's his first language. Raised in a vibrant musical environment thanks to his mother's reputable Yamaha Music School, he developed a rich understanding of harmony and melody from an early age. With comprehensive Yamaha music education on piano, keyboard, and electone, and holding a teacher's grade in Yamaha electone, Douglas has honed a keen ear for music. His role as an active church pianist enables him to connect deeply with his community through his service. However, his true calling lies in mentoring others. He founded Perform & Play Music Adelaide with the vision of helping students unlock their creative potential. Douglas believes every piece of music tells a unique story, and he is dedicated to helping students find the confidence to not just play, but to share the incredible stories only they can tell through music.
Yuan Qi: Starting her comprehensive Yamaha music education on piano at the age of five, Yuan Qi has achieved her Yamaha teacher's grade, showcasing her dedication and expertise. As an active church pianist, Yuan Qi brings a wealth of practical experience to her teachings. She is passionate about inspiring students to explore and experiment, ensuring they build strong musical foundations. Yuan Qi's approach focuses on helping students discover their own unique musical voice, encouraging them to grow and express themselves with confidence and creativity.
